You could use your masterball on him, I usually use mine on the wandering pokemon since they give me the most trouble. (raikou, entei, latias, latios, mesprit ect.)

Good luck with that, i've never seen a shiny Pokemon, the only one i've seen is the red Gyarados in HeartGold, but he's a special Pokemon, not the kind you find randomly in the wild

I've have quite a few shinys.
Gold: pidgey and spinarak
Saphire: altaria and dustox
Heart Gold: krabby
White: ampharos

And of course the free ones. Raiku, entei, suicune, pichu, and gyrados

The only shiny i've ever gotten was from the GTS, but it probably wasn't legit.
It was a lickylicky.
