Author Topic: Mack rambles on about "Inception" and the concept of Lucid Dreaming  (Read 8256 times)

Lucid dreaming is loving creepy.

I remember when I tried lucid dreaming, and once I realized that I could do anything I wanted to do, I screamed as loud as I could and then I woke up.

Although I've done it a few times and had a few more personal dreams.

Flying in a dream is not for the faint hearted. It seems like a piece of cake now, but once you find yourself in the dream world and you are lucid, whether or not you try to be logical you are in a world in its own right and you will still feel vertigo.

I suggest people who want to fly in their dreams "swim" in the air. Doggy-paddling works for me LOL. Or imagine yourself "charging" velocity or power, then propel yourself into the sky at fast speeds. If that fails, sit down and imagine you are in an invisible go-kart and "drive" into the air-- thats great if you don't want to find yourself looking downwards at the ground, which often results in falling.

I've only had two lucid dreams. They were both kind of a waste considering all that I did, but very cool nonetheless.

One was very weird, like all dreams are. The door to my bedroom had a small hole in it, and I had a toothpick! When I stuck the toothpick into the hole, and opened up the door, my bedroom randomly changed into a different configuration with new furniture, tech, toys, etc. Was really cool. But for some reason, whenever my dad came into my room, my room was normal and it was like nothing even happened! >:c

My second was very funny, because it started out as a nightmare, then turned into a very long adventure (seemed like 4-5 hours.) I woke up, but very quickly went back in, like Sheath said. The funny part about the lucid dream was it was completely wasted, as I didn't do anything. The only thing I did was try to tell my dream friends that we're in a dream (DERP) and turn my arms into motorcycle handlebars. :\

Also, I've flown in a non-lucid dream before. Very cool, weird feeling.

AAAAND Inception is an awesome movie. I seem to be the only one in my family to like it. The rest of my family was like, "Meh."

Has anyone ever gotten to limbo? I searched it and got all of this Encyclopedia Dramatica stuff.

Limbo is a state of mind in which you are trapped in an empty world of nothing.

Imagine you being alone and stark naked in an endless white room for eternity.

I know what it is, I just wondered if anyone has gotten there...

and lived. :o

silly edit- can't you kick yourself out of limbo?

There is no real limbo, dude.

It's just an empty dream. Maybe coma patients have an endless limbo dream, I don't know.

i am confus

I'll just try to lucid dream, iv'e done it before, but never really tried to.

People who enter a coma endlessly dream about themselves being limbo, or so the theory goes.

The human mind is fascinating :D

This one time I was walking to my bed
I wake up instantly the next morning in my bed sitting up, so I magically teleported to my bed and don't remember going to sleep.

Can somebody explain this to me?

Also, who's ever started lucid dreaming in a nightmare?
You expect all to go bad, so it does.

You were dreaming about walking next to your bed and you went to sleep late at night so you don't remember doing so?

forget, I did this in that spider dream I had and I was freaking out horribly.

No it definitely wasn't that, I remember being with my sister(forget you in advance), I was walking back from her room and then I was sitting up in bed the next morning

It always works for me. I just hover like a badass, with no vertigo, because I know I'm in a dream.

The closest thing to dreams coming true. <3

one time in the summer I tried staying up all night, so around 6am I apparently fell asleep and walked myself up the stairs to my room, then my mom wanted me to hold the door open while she brought something in, but I was still asleep. I was super confus :|
