Author Topic: How To Lucid Dream  (Read 32130 times)

I had a semi lucid dream last night, I remember most of the details, and I'm sure I was aware that I was in a dream. I used the "plug your nose and try to breathe" trick. I also looked into a mirror, it was me, but my eyes were spaced apart from each other, and I pretty much had a derp face going on. I laughed but as soon as I blinked, one of my eyes was missing from its socket, I wasn't scared, suprisingly.

After that for some reason I took a bike ride in the snow.
Trying again tonight

Virtual Reality's gonna pound the Hell out of Lucid Dreaming someday. Just gotta remember to get out of the pod to eat and drink... maybe a built-in feeding system?

Actually I would think Lucid Dreaming would be better. I mean, the virtual reality would have some limitations, as it would use a computer of some sort, wheras our imagination has virtually no limitations, plus, its a bit easier (maybe).

Well, I just had a lucid dream, and I tried to divide by zero as a reality check. It seems my dream world exploded, and imploded, at the same time.

For what seems to be a week now, I've been regularly doing RCs with no results. I think it might be because I don't often dream of places that have any clocks (digital or brown townog) or lightswitches. I'm pretty sure last night was the first dream I've had in my house for around two weeks. Can I somehow force my dream world to be my house before I fall asleep?

"Computer, issue User One(Or Player One, etc..) a Steyr TMP with a full, 30-round, detachable box magazine of live 9x19mm Parabellum ammunition." [SMG appears in right hand and a full, matching magazine with actual cartidges appears in the left]

[Thinks really hard to get a Steyr TMP in a dream, succeeds, pulls the trigger, and discovers it makes muzzle flash and noise without bullets! Or, perhaps worse, nothing at all.]

I suppose I could just try to practice in dreams to get it to work right, but it's never guaranteed.

Lol, now I want to try this.

Lol.

Hmm, any better way to make RCs a habit?

I seem to forget a lot.

If you can't do it in waking life you have no hope in the dream world.

Nobody says you will get lucid even in a month. It takes time and persistence. Be sure you do RCs relevant to you.

My question was about forcing myself to dream in my house, not forcing myself to become lucid faster.

I don't remember much, but i'm not sure if it was lucid, but i was in control.
It was something involving the clown from Space Station 13, and a bank robber who rides a pick up truck, and i could spawn bombs, the robber's name was sid, and he looked like the jailbot from Superjail.

Forgot most of the other details.

I'll get it down sheath.

Anyways music has been making my dreams more vivid.
(and it's been sort of guiding the ones that i don't have control of.)

For example
Last night i was listening to Adam's song, and dreamt that i was in a computer lab. I had no hints, but my mind was telling me it was french class. i felt like it was the actual class, but the room looked really different. we had a substitute wearing a purple dress. i sat down and did my assignment on the computer, and suddenly turned around. a kid jumped up and spit out what would seem like the PERFECT ending to that song. (the DCs were totally acknowledging what i was listening to..) And my friend jumped up and was like "DUDE, THAT WOULD BE PERFECT IF IT REPLACED IT" and that was pretty much it. then i was in a hallway, and (the next song sounded like Pot kettle black.. don't ask) i walked through a doorway, and was inside a hotel building. suddenly a huge plane came barreling through the hotel, and i somehow jumped over it. the floor i was on became the top of the building, (the plane ripped off the roof). The plane was nowhere to be seen, but i heard the intercom of the school, that was slowly getting farther from us. it was saying "You didn't think we didn't notice the tides turn" or something. anyways, the school then fell out of site.
I looked out what would be the window. Down was complete blackness. i turned around and found my friend kaity, and she was hanging by a pipe on the edge of the building. i pulled her up, and we started to make our way downstairs. we got about a floor down and i noticed the C4 on the sides of the building. the staircase to get any lower was gone, so we went back from where we came. the C4 exploded, and the building started to fall, taking us with it. i started to float away from the building, (physics not touched much) and didn't want to fall too far. i grabbed a pipe, and kept my friend from flying away :P. we hit the ground and there was a hole in the middle of the black land. some goons (no idea what for) came running after us, (they had guns). i told kaity to go hide, so she hid in a pipe that somehow was in this wasteland of flat blackness. i fended them off and more waves came. 2 more waves had come, to be exact. then a huge looking robot thing climbed from the huge hole, and came at me. i tossed a cube from my pocket and it grew to look like some kind of vehicle the jetsons would have. i told her to get in and fly up, and stay there. i then (lol i don't know how that's possible, i guess my mind likes me) took down the robot and it fell down the hole. it grabbed my shirt and pulled me down. i pulled my shirt off and grabbed the mysterious ladder that had appeared, and climbed back up. then the song changed to "Right on time", by the red hot chili peppers, and since it starts out so loud, (at least the loop i have, it would have started at 0:40) it woke me up with a jolt.

Also bump since nobody had said anything for a while.

Well, i'm tired so night. (ogod triple post)

Damn Kabe, I'd like to see what my dreams would be like if I played music, but I'm terribly afraid after this one time...

So I have this friend and I'm staying the week with him. :3 he's one of those people who need noise when they sleep. So he plays some music, its a flute song on a seemengly endless loop.
In my dream I'm in my ford tempo with some black dude and a futuristic touch screen computer. I'm guessing were some kind of crime fighting duo since someone tells us to drive to a crime scene. We get there and find an abandoned cell phone nearby. It has one voicemail so I play it. Its a man talking about a secret project or something. Then the flute song plays and he begins panicking, some static overtakes the recording and it ends.
The middle of the dream is lost to me, but the end was the creepyest thing:
So my compadre is yelling in the passenger seat, doing the whole "swear every second word and wave hands wildly" routine. Then our touchscreen gets a message, it tells me they found the rest of the recording. He plays it and its the final note of the flute song, and the man screaming as if he's being killed. Now the scary part was that the note and his screams were in perfect sync, tuning and everything, but both could still be distinguished.
My partner just had this scared look on his face, then I woke up, plugged in my ipod as high as it could go, and try and ignore the dream.
