I don't know if this is a good idea, but might just be fun to mess with: Steak.
You fling it in the air and it attracts zombies to it, but the zombies it eventually eat it up. There could be a grilled steak that would attracted even more zombies to it. Also, the zombies would run faster to it than to a pipebomb.

In my time with CityRPG v3 I've developed a much stronger appreciation for ScriptObjects. I'm completely rewriting the mutation system so that the code is not only cleaner, but more dependable and faster. I'll be able to add many more mutations this time around because it won't be so much of a chore now.

Also, the meat would slow down zombies that eat it.

slowing down and speeding up players like that just does not work because of the datablock system and the entire idea is unfittingly cartoonish.

Ok, forget the slowing down idea. But it would still attract zombies. And the player could eat it for health too.

... I don't understand why you want this.

Make a zombie that can infect players, like after he damages you, there's a chance of him being infected, but he doesn't know it and then after some time he turns in to a zombie.

I do like the idea of a wave mode though.

Take the # of players currently playing and mabye have the directer organize a wave based on their status?

I would very much look forward to that.

Also eagerly awaiting the Zombie example.

I vaguely understand how to get it into the system, but Ill have to spend more time to figure out some specifics before I can slap a basic Bug into Zapt.

Hopefully a new mutation system will be easy to mod. If the conversion works out itd be nice to have a Bugs only mutation in infection style.

Hope its released swiftly, and that the example Zombie AI and Survivor/Follower AI are as well.

I wouldnt bother with the steak, dumb idea and it can be easily modded.

The Mutation system changes are hard to explain.

I'm going to be stripping a lot of the minigame options out in favor of just.. gamemodes. Instead of having to flip switches X, Y, and Z to get desired effect A, just turn it to "Mutation A" and it'll do what you want.

This reduces a bit of customizable freedom in exchange for a much easier game setup.


Furthermore, when it's released, I'll show how to set up a mutation while I'm doing examples.

A "Waves" mode. Like in national socialist Zombies.

I don't know what people have against ZAPT. I love it. I can't think of anything bad about it. I love the fact that I can play as a zombie. In Rot's mod, I get bored whenever I die because a lot of people don't know/don't want to get to the safehouse to finish the round and let every one spawn again.

With ZAPT, I don't have that problem, Zombie kills me, yay I'm still in.

I need to find a good book on programming torque, Online tutorials are so unreliable and generally low quality.

That and im to lazy to sift through a load of addons to learn what I want to learn.


Atleast I have your Google Doc Files, help a little bit.

On the downing system I think players should lay on there stomach and shoot zombies in front of them but cannot move right or left.

There should be 2 downed messages 1 Survivor:Model Maniac: Help help I'm downed by a mob and Model Maniac is downed and He is near you

What about that item similar to boomer bile but it brings a dead player back to life what was it?

Please make zombies that are far away spawn.

Add more items like Boomer Bile,Colored Pipebombs and Molovoltos

Fix the Man vs Tank mode by the number of players .Lets say like 32/32 the Lank would have 7000 health or less by the players.

Make a keybind for  melee on right click does 4

Add a fire emmiter on the Molovolto when you are holding it same with pipebomb.

Make more modes for it like:

Have a keybind for players to crouch like the splits but front knee in the air and back knee on the ground.

A one man fight: Everyone is a zombie  but one player is chosen as a Survivor

Waves: A bunch on national socialist zombies run around to kill you and a 5 minute timer to update base with vce and get new weapons.

Witch attack!:You and your friends spawn in a house infested with a 100 witchs.

Zombies skin could go for a bit duller do you think?

Dead bodies stay until round is over

Cutscenes when timers end like helicopters etc...
