I assume none of you did what I said, or else it would have worked. I have windows 7 as well, but the vista fix WORKS for it too.
So until you guys actually follow the directions, I can't help you anymore.
You'll understand when you find out what you're doing wrong.
========================================================
Download the .dll's
Place them in your syswow32/64 depending on your operating system.
That can be located in C:\Windows\syswow##
Once you placed them there, open command prompt as admin.
Type in this for
32 bit operating systemscd c:\windows\system32 <enter> (assuming windows is on your C: drive, if not put the correct letter in.)
regsvr32 dx7vb.dll <enter> Click OK on the window that comes up saying dllregserver succeeded
regsvr32 dx8vb.dll <enter> Click OK on the window that comes up saying dllregserver succeeded
type this in for
64 bit operating systemscd c:\windows\syswow64 <enter> (assuming windows is on your C: drive, if not put the correct letter in.)
regsvr32 dx7vb.dll <enter> Click OK on the window that comes up saying dllregserver succeeded
regsvr32 dx8vb.dll <enter> Click OK on the window that comes up saying dllregserver succeeded
Obviously press enter, don't type it in.
That's how it works. If it doesn't, you're doing something wrong as this is how I have done it on
five computers.
