Author Topic: Oh no. Tom is obtaining a Mac. [Some questions to Mac users]  (Read 3263 times)

and yet they say they don't have problems with crashes and stuff, well thats cause you can't do anything with a mac except have it turned on and look at the desktop :I
what the forget were you using
my mac never crashes, except when I do something idiotic like watch something on an untrusted site in full screen, in which case you just hold down the power button and it emergency-shuts off, and then you can just turn it back on

either you used a really old one or something is seriously forgeted up

I'll be amazed if it would run all of chromes useless stuff smoothly.
Actually, it runs it quite well. I love how people make assumptions about Macs that are bad and then they don't even know/haven't used one.

Prime example of a pc fan boy Macs and PCs are so alike its not even funny, you're just too stupid to figure it out.
I'm not too stupid friend, it's in a completely different coding language at least most of my programs have to be which is stuff same with Linux

so what are you then? a Mac fanboy?

@placid: um dude, this powerbook IS horrible.
HNNNNNG

256mb of RAM? the hard drive isn't even SATA, and its 4200 rpm/60gb? Can only connect to 802.11g wireless? 64MB of VRAM? dear god, it doesn't matter if it "feels well made", it's useless.
Just to name a few things. Maybe it CAN run chrome, but that doesn't make it a good computer. Dear god. Just buy one of the new(er) macbooks, at least.

@flying ace: yeah, you're just stupid.

the only thing Apple can make good is phones, even their mp3 players are stuff cause you have to use itunes to put music on them you are actually not allowed to drag and drop the files

I'm talkin about Toms mac.

I have 2 macbooks, lol. I use them more than my pc.

I do more gaming on a macbook air than on my gaming pc.

its funny because ipods and iphones work exactly the same, except for iphones connecting to a cell network and having a texting/phone app. admit it, you don't know what you're talking about.

No Iphone and Itouch ipods work the same not other ipods

yeah, the classics/nanos operate a little differently because theres no touchscreen hurhrururhhrurhurr (who uses classics/nanos anyway lol?), but its still basically the same.

and what the hell are you talking about, Itouch? That's not an apple product for sure. You really don't know what you're talking about.

No, you're just stupid.

They all work the same except one of them has a massive touch screen.

Nope, they operate the same too.

depends what you mean by "operate"
touches and phones: operated by finger gestures
classics: operated by click wheel, menus are a bit different, etc

hurrhurr

Yeah, I know but what I mean to say is it's bad business to make your product have to be tied to your computer software

especially if you go to a friends house or some other scenario and he happens to have a lot of music you like or vise versa and that computer does not have itunes so the only way for him to get it to you would be to bring it over to your computer on CDs, a thumbdrive or another mp3, not saying you shouldn't beable to sync your mp3 player to itunes just that it should be a quality feature and not a demand in my opinion

also Itouch is just the nick name for the Ipod touch where I live, a slang you might say..

Tell that to apple, rolling in billions of dollars
Their business is doing just fine

They created that system to prevent pirating music.

Also if it bothers you so much, there's a simple way to sync with other programs, its just handicapped because Apples system of hiding where all there music and stuff goes is insane.

You have got to be kidding me. iTunes is free to download and use, what's wrong with using it? It's better than/just as good as other programs for that use, and the marketing strategy is very good.

It's very good business to require people to use products made by Apple in order to use products from Apple. It gets the consumer to use more Apple, and less other programs, making users more loyal and trusting of Apple. Microsoft does the exact same loving thing. You can only use Zunes with the Zune software, because it's a good marketing technique. You just have your head so far up Microsoft's ass you can't seem to see things the way they are.
