The one I have has a nvida geforce in it.

Uh, eek. You are naive if you think because its Nvidia it'll be an amazing graphics card. Pretty sure the last few Powerbook G4's were made about 6 years a go. The only G4 Powerbook I've seen with an Nvidia Geforce has 64MB of vram which will be horrible.

Yeah, good luck with gaming on this thing, cuz I can tell you it's not going to work (not even Blockland will run smoothly).

Safari is very nice and much better than firefox.

If blockland works on my old old old old old emac, it will work on that.

1. You're going to be running 10.4 which will NOT work on Blockland.
Wrong, my emac is 10.4 and blockland runs nicely on it.

Safari is a nice, good looking browser. I would use it.

Alright, I might go look at the specs on it really quick. So lemme get this down real quick.

i don't get peoples' obsessions with really old macs.

I love old Macs. They feel so well made, and stuff.

Surprisingly, this one has the HD Sensor, so you can tilt it n' stuff.

EDIT: The HD on this one is slightly bigger because my dad had to get the HD fixed because of a corruption.

I've used a macbook since 2006, and it's my ONLY computer. Just so you know my experience level and such.

Since it's a powerbook, you most likely want to install an earlier version of Leopard. Definitely not Snow Leopard. If you can post the specs of the laptop, that would help. That way I can tell you if you should install Tiger or Leopard. We don't want a slow laptop now :).

The first thing you should do when you get the computer is max out the ram capacity, and you can find the capacity online. Pretty self-explanatory.

Safari: I highly recommend using Firefox, in any version. The reason Safari is the "fastest" is because it's barebones. Safari would work fine, but honestly, Firefox is so much better. And I'm pretty sure there are more Add-ons and themes and stuff for Firefox.

Ew powerbooks.

If you're gonna get a mac at least get a macbook pro.

I'm saving up for the new 13" for 1.4k

HNNNNNG

256mb of RAM? the hard drive isn't even SATA, and its 4200 rpm/60gb? Can only connect to 802.11g wireless? 64MB of VRAM? dear god, it doesn't matter if it "feels well made", it's useless.

Get Chrome. Works better than Safari.

I tried using a mac

everything was backwards/didn't work, or I had to go through a lot of 'Jury rigging" to get programs to work

and yet they say they don't have problems with crashes and stuff, well thats cause you can't do anything with a mac except have it turned on and look at the desktop :I
anyway I've had no problems with my Microsoft costume gaming  computer 1,000$USD.

the only time people experience BSOD is if they are completely stupid using a computer or have a really old computer and are trying to run crysis at max settings

I'll be amazed if it would run all of chromes useless stuff smoothly.

Prime example of a pc fan boy.

Macs and PCs are so alike its not even funny, you're just too stupid to figure it out.

not Apple's fault if you're too god damn lazy/stupid to figure out a new OS. no stuff it's not going to work the same way your Windows computer does, it's a different OS. Deal with it. If you had to "jury rig" programs you're just stupid or you were using a mac from 2004 or something like some of these antique-collectors.
