Author Topic: My laptop's not working!  (Read 2468 times)

Well, I am registered with an online school, and get a Restore Plus CD for a desktop, could I get it to work?
It says Windows XP on it.
What?

Nvm, is there a Way I could get a restore CD for the laptop?

Find it online and burn to disk

That one you mentioned might work.

You just need either that or a regular non-manufacturer copy of Windows XP to repair it.

If its completely unrepairable for whatever reason, then you can do a clean reformat.

If nothing on it matters to you, wipe the drive and do a clean install.

Either download or buy windows.

How could I wipe it clean, never used windows.

When you turn on the laptop hold the DEL key (I think, I don't use windows much either) and then enter BIOS, select the CD Drive as the boot device (or usb if you're gonna install windows off of usb) and then restart the laptop with the boot cd inside and when you get to selecting the partition, click format for all of them and you've got a clean wipe.

That's the fastest way I know to do it.
