Author Topic: Leaf Mod  (Read 958 times)

Interesting idea I had the other day, what if there was some kind of mod or emitter that had a leaf graphic fall from a certain point, to give houses a genuine autumn look? I'm not sure if it's possible to make leaves fall the way they would in real life, but I'm thinking if it is possible, maybe have a selection of bricks that automatically start spawning leaves, so all you have to do is place one of these bricks over your build.

The leaves stay on the ground after falling, and you can use a new tool "rake" to move them around.

Just a thought, I have no idea if this is possible at all, but this is suggestions and requests so ya never know...

Sounds graphically straining to an infinite degree

Raking? In Blockland? This is a game, not a chore.

Just leave it as a Leaf Falling Emitter...

you could fake kill a brick every so often

Agreed, Raking is hard enough in real life.

Making it rake-able would be a bad idea.

I do however, like the idea of a leaf emitter
Maybe I'll work on it some...

Maybe a small flat print brick with a leaf print and a rake tool and event "onrakehit-fakekillbrick-0-0-1"

Or a JVS Leaf Pile :P

leaf-style  :cookieMonster:

Yeah raking might not be the best...but to expand some more:

Perhaps a tree model, like the one made already but in wider variety, could act as the emitter that drops leaves from just a low level in a space of like 16 square studs or so. In addition to a plate that can go over the house.

This actually sounds very well thought out, would make builds much more aesthetically pleasing.
