Ok, so right next to my neighborhood lies an office for "St. Lukes Hospital". Last year, St. Lukes passed a new rule making any property belonging to them a smoking free campus; In order to protect their patients. Because of this law, employees of the building also cannot smoke on the property or on the sidewalks directly next to the property.
Because of this, 4-5 stupid ass old ladies feel compelled to walk into my neighborhood and stand in front of my house to take their smoking break. So like clockwork, 3-4 times a day, I will see a group of people I've never even met come to the sidewalk in front of my house, lite up their cigarettes, and stand in front of my house.
I personally think that it is bullstuff that everytime I walk out of my house I have to inhale the odor of all the smoke. Not only that, but it makes the neighborhood look terrible having groups of random smokers just standing around. Our neighborhood also has a large amount of families with small children. Great message telling them to smoke.
I don't know why the hell these idiots need to stand in front of a property of someone they don't even know to do that. My question is, if I approach the business on the issue and they ignore it can I have these people cited for loitering?
