Nintendo has announced that it will cut the price of the 3DS by nearly one third.
¥25,00 to ¥15,000
$249 to $169

Nintendo will also be starting up a 'Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme' for anyone that bought the console at the original launch price. This will gift you 10 free NES games and 10 free Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games from the Virtual Console.
