funny to, because that is what your god demands of you, many many times. another thing you decided wasn't fun about religion?
God demands that if your a Jew you must follow all of Jewish law, and if you are a Muslim, you must completely follow Muslim law? I was stating religion in general, not directly Christianity.
But as for Christianity, certainly Jesus did state
"So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you from My mouth.", but then with so many different versions, it is hard to tell if what John means by this is warm of faith or of action. And the Bible also does state, time after time, God is the 'way', the truth, the light. I don't believe it says all that much for the church. If anything, it states moreso to stay with the Faith - with God -instead of the religion:
"Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead." and
"Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good." are just two of thousands (That is, if you interpret them that way). But then, I'm no expert. If you have other citations that say otherwise, please place them here.
