Same, but the kid was named Jack and I timed him at 11.46 seconds. He oils the damn thing up with Vaseline so it spins faster : |
I oil mine up. :D
Does anyone wanna see a video of Daed doing it? <3
Also yeah, well the people who do it in ~20 seconds don't use algorithms, they use other methods, and they have to look at the cube a bit beforehand. I can just get right into it and take around a minute.

The one I had was actually ruined because my brilliant cousin replaced a bunch of the stickers so they could solve one side, and it made it unsolvable. Not that I know how to complete a normal one anyway.

I thought that vaseline wasn't very slick. If anything, it would slow down the cube.

Nah, it works.

Nah, it works.
Oh, really? I thought it gave supermodels a frictionless smile.

I'm sure that's the only reason he puts vaseline on it.

Cube special interest amirite?

Here is what I do, rip out the corner piece and the rest will fall apart and then reassemble it. It works better than peeling off the sticker.

Or you could solve it. e_e
Also I'm gonna buy a Ghost Hand cube sometime. They don't need any lube - you can do finger tricks effortlessly. I should be able to cut my solves down to like 45 seconds with it.

My fastest solve is 37.85 seconds.

I can solve:
  • 2x2
  • 2x3(x3)
  • 3x3
  • 4x4
  • 5x5
  • 6x6
  • 7x7
  • any cube
  • "Pyraminx" (go look it up)
Or you could solve it. e_e

Go look up YongJun (YJ) cubes on amazon, they're like $10 and you don't have to lube them whatsoever, they're really quick spinning right out of the box.

4 months is my fastest solve yet. I'm addicted to these things, but my sister keeps taking them apart and putting them together.  She went and got that electric thing, no where near as fun as the real thing. I told my mom I wanted some Rubik's Cube furniture. She's making me a pillow :D

Breaking it then putting the pieces back is solving it. No where in the rules says you can't do that.

Yeah, but it takes you a lot longer than just solving it if you're trying to set records. Even a mediocre solver can do it in under or around a minute. The world record for the 3x3 is currently 6.65 seconds.

Also my PR is down to 3:14

Complex algorithms, mah boi
they really aren't that complex
but it really depends on which ones you're using
((the ones i'm using aren't very complex))

I got the yellow side done when I was 12.
Does that count? :D
