Author Topic: 1000+ Hour Players w/o many items in TF2?  (Read 2196 times)

The only thing i see is people asking to trade/buy/sell things, what's bothering you?
Just people that care too damn much about an ornamental item. It pisses me off.

Hmmm! I guess I shouldn't worry about looking like a newbie starting TF2 (on PC) late.

You really don't have to spend anything after the initial investment. You'll get your items pretty quickly as long as you play a few days a week, and many players will be willing to give some of their extras to newcomers. You could spend money on items to get them sooner, but that's really the only advantadge - you'll get the same stuff eventually by playing.

I joined two days after the Pyro update (June 19th 2008) and only have 381 hours of total play time... is that bad?

I'm looking to be a first day bargaining manne and then after that I'll buy various unusuals every once in a while
But, these 1000+ hour players have less than three of the full polycounts, with items such as the black box/backup count set.

$@(*@)($*)!*#

@ items, not really play time
I joined Runescape in 2004 when I was really young, and only about 1.5k hours of gametime
Wait, maybe it might be bad; I thought not because I started playing once every two weeks

They probably craft everything they don't use regularly because they're obsessed with cosmetics. I've got 2350+ hours on it and exactly one of every gameplay-affecting item (here); I get items within the day they're added just by playing normally. I even delete my duplicates when I get them since they're useless in the long run, so saving them for crafting future items isn't really important either.

I see, Truce.

Also, unfortunately, I am a loser obsessed with cosmetics. In fact, I was quite disappointed that the Magnanimous Monarch came out at a time when I was unable to purchase one.
However, I won't settle for unique hats pre-Mann Co, and will go for vintage for non-Demo until I am able to receive my next unusual.

"XXX" has chosen to trade with you!

"HEY DUDE,LOOK AT MY GASTLIER GIBUS ITS SO COOL"
The trade has ended.

This may be because i only play on 3 to 4 servers, but i never seen that, ever

If i ever get a trade request, they're usually wondering if i have something to trade with, which those metals i have, i'm keeping for a hat and most of the hats i already have i'm also keeping, so otherwise, i don't have much to trade for
