Re-doing my room, need some tips/advice.

Hey guys, so I'm going to be re-painting my room, more than likely a dark blue-ish colour, and once I paint it, I'm going to be putting some wall art onto my room. Currently, my plan is to paint my walls, then put some canvas prints on it as well as grab some frames, get some blue velvet, get some vinyl records, cut the velvet so it is about an inch longer/wider than the vinyls, and then put the vinyl/velvet combo into the picture frames and hang those onto my wall. I'm also going to either cut a hole into my wall, or make a shelf, and put this onto it;


I have ordered one that looks a lot like that, except it's new, so it's got a 3.5mm jack in the back to plug in iPods/MP3 players. It also supports CD's which is nice.

I also have this clock;



being shipped to me, which will be a nice addition. This process will probably be spanning over the next 3 months, seeing as how before we paint my walls, we're going to remove the carpet and put in hardwood flooring (maybe, i like my ugly ass blue carpet). If I decide to not remove the carpet, hopefully this all should be done by mid-June.


If you guys have any art suggestions, any furniture suggestions, anything, please post here. I'm pretty open to just about anything.

Sounds like a good plan. Don't over-do it on the vinyl, some classic album covers would do nicely, so maybe put up the vinyl sleeves as well.

My bed is pretty similar to that, I just need to buy a headboard with speakers on it.


I think I'm going to do that wall art that she has though, the lamps hanging :o that's pretty badass.

Alright, I ordered every print in this thread that I posted, including the most recent that I was contemplating (the girl), and I'm done buying art for today, I've spent roughly $900 on everything so far (including the records and velvet). Now I just need to wait for it all to come in the mail :D

We have that print in our basement.


And there's no such thing as a stuffty taste in art. And clearly I share a taste that's like someone else's because they created it, and they sell hundreds of them. So, how about instead of criticizing my choice in art just for the sake of being a douche, you either disregard the thread, or kindly go forget yourself.
