Also, what's so bad about Vista and Norton? Vista seems fine, and Norton seems okay from what I've seen.

Chrome is better than all of them.
Or at least, compared to my experience with them.

People hate vista because they don't know how to click a button.

People hate norton because its annoying at times.

People hate IE because its like a half second slower than chrome/FF. They need their research to load faster

The only way half a second would be a lot of time is:
in sprints
car acceleration
gun draw/reload contests
.etc
