Author Topic: Sqlite Error? How do I fix it?  (Read 1110 times)

The topic is self-explanatory, and I am providing pictures.

Yes, they're .JPEG. Deal with it.

On a serious note, does anyone know what I should do to fix this that won't result in removing all of my add-ons? (If this is the only way, then I will do it.)

That didn't work AT ALL, because I made it read-only, and it didn't work. And I can't use the Administrator or Admin accounts for whatever reason, and I have to "Run as..." because my computer hates me. So I need more help then that.

most of these errors are due to blockland running on vista and being installed in C:\Program files\

The instructions in those threads are supposed to make blockland and all its files and folders read-write -- not read only.  so if you changed it to read-only, go and change it back.

The other thing you can try is to re-isntall blockland in a different folder.  I use C:\games\blockland   and ive never had any sqlite errors.

I've only been given help for Earlier versions of windows. I use Windows XP. Because all of that stuff you guys say to do, most of it is only in earlier versions, or in vista and whatnot. I am using XP.

try installing to C:\games\blockland and see what happens.

no need to change what you have already, and if it doesnt work, just delete the new install and look for other things to try.

OP of the stickied help thread here, first off, you could have posted this in the stickied topic because one of the reasons I made that was to save the forum of these threads that will consequently make you look like a dumbass for not posting to the most obvious thread on the board....

Anyway, you need to make all the file to READ AND WRITE not Read only. Do that, I'm 78.4% sure that will work for you. It's not working because you didn't read OP of the stickied thread carefully enough. Okay, that's my two cents, carry on, preferably in the sticky thread.

The only problem with this is that I don't have that option in my properties. I only have the power to make it Read Only.

You're supposed to make it NOT read only.

You're supposed to make it NOT read only.
I only have the power to make it Read Only.
When I posted this, I also meant I can make it Not Read Only.

Is it not "read-only"?

If it's read and write, congrats. Now follow the steps of the sticky thread to get it fully solved.

There's some weird bug with mine that makes it so when i set it to read and write and then run blockland, after quitting it goes back to read only. that's why I made my own private little mod thing that deletes cache.db every time i quit blockland.

it's helpful.
