You don't understand how redundant it would be to re-animate everything. Chances are you would break something and there would be console errors about missing animations. And textured models look like crap when people don't have download textures enabled. Making it an item is much simpler. When your working with computer software, the simplest solution is always the best, and make the boots an item is a million times simpler.

And like I've said a few times before in this topic, making it an item gives players much more ability for customization.

You should have them on by default. Chell never picks them up, they're on her. Else wise, she'd die within the first few minutes of the game. It should be part of the player in some way, if just spawned onto the regular player.

Plus, we need our slots. Passive things like that are handicapped.

Then have the script automatically add the boots every time a player spawns, so as to have all the benefits of an item without actually using a slot.

Numbers cannot even describe how much stupider that made you look. I've been scripting for years now, and have I pretty good idea of what I'm doing.

I started making a script for the boots, but I don't think I'm going to give it to you anymore. You're on your own now, have fun making a sucky add-on.

Oh, and instead of calling my idea stupid you should give a few reasons why.

Don't actually use the body. It would be too much work to make a whole new playertype. All you need to do is export a single boot, and someone could script it as an item that attaches to the food nodes and hides the player's feet. It would be a simple script. Also doing it that way would allow people to customize their player how ever they wanted.

You would want a new player type because it is taller unless you don't want a space between them. It would look so handicapped like that though. So screw your idea.

A script like that would be like eating a piece of pizza. Holy crap dude you probably scripted it like crap. No body like you so leave blockland an go play your 5 year old games (roblox). Anybody could script it. My baby brother could script it. That is how easy it would be.
