Oh Night Fox. Your so nice and gentle today.

And this is why Blockland doesn't have mic capabilities.

If this ever did happen though, the host should have the following options:
- Toggle mics on/off
- Allow admin muting (default does not allow players to mute admins)

I still think turning text into voices would be amazinger ;D

Little children screaming for Admin.

No.
It would be the same as any other game.

How about somekind of text to speech machine like in spacestation alpha or whatever that NASA game was

i also heard that voice chat is not possible on torque game engine.

It's Moonbase Alpha.

Apparently nobody has heard of Teamspeak or Ventrillo?

They already solved almost all of these problems.

Get one of those programs, hook up with your friends and talk to your heart's content.

Doesn't matter. Its a pain to try and get most of your friends in your server to join your teamspeak, and get a URL and all that setup stuff.

the level of humor in the fifth voting option seems out of place

Skype

I'd like this, so long as there was Client Sided Muting for players
They would only be muted for you hurr

Why are you people still discussing this, it isn't possible.

The version of Torque that Blockland has doesn't allow it, I think.
I believe that voice chat was added at some version, but if Badspot updated it would require a lot of work.

Don't forget the amount of possible broken addons.

ZB

I think that we should, like others have said, have chat be an optional thing that clients can turn on or off, as well as letting people mute others (if they mute an admin, the admin can still use text). But I also think that speech should be an option in the server, and you can choose to host a server with no speech.

Possibly.

I've ported TGE addons over into T3D before. With almost no editing involved, only because of a small variable change in clients on T3D.

Why not do something like RTB does with IRC?
When plays press a certain key, it transmit their voice to a teamspeak server and it does what it normally does, except you don't join the server?

Yeah, actually I wouldnt mind RTB doing something like this.
