If you just go around deleting folders you're going to leave behind random entries in your system registry. It's easier to just uninstall stuff cleanly.
1. Go download CCleaner (
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner)
2. Run the program.
3. Click Tools.
4. Click Save to text file...
5. Attach install.txt to your next post.
We can probably pick out the useless programs from that list. As for the access denied errors, is this your computer? Do you share it with someone else? Do you have an administrator account or a regular user account? You shouldn't have to boot up a linux live cd to uninstall stuff, it boggles my mind that people would even suggest this.
