Monday, May 16, 2038:
7:00 P.M: The nuclear fusion reactor that was opened just a short time ago suffered a catastrophic malfunction and exploded. 10 engineers were injured, 4 diagnosed with minor radiation sickness. A barley readable increase of radiation occurred in the town of New Babylon, 2 miles away. The other fusion plant near Americium, which was planned to have twin reactors, had its construction suspended until the problem was diagnosed and fixed.
11:30 P.M: A Boeing 787 lost engine power and belly-landed near Lincoln, and crashed into a house. The house was abandoned, and no one was inside when the multi-ton jet landed on it. The pilots and 4 passengers suffered minor injuries.
