Author Topic: How to make your own music for blockland.  (Read 10689 times)

First off all to make your own blockland music download Audacity.Next go to a youtube page with the song you want for blockland then go to listen to youtube.com and copy the link off your youtube page for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcL---4xQYA then paste it in the youtube URL bar on listen to youtube.Next click go..........

Wait for it to convert it to mp3
After its done download it.Next open up Audacity and go to file then open your song.Next wait for it to import it then you will see these blue rays that represent the audio so you trim it down to the part you want and by trim i mean you highlight (click and hold the mouse) over the blue rays till its grey then press delete on your keyboard to delete that part.Do whatever part of your song just keep it small and not too big.

Then go to the little arrow of the little box on the left of the screen and click then click "split stereo track"Now as you can see theres two boxs now. So now click the arrow on both of them and click "mono". Next go up and click file then click "export as ogg vorbis"Now to converts it to an ogg file.Next, when you name it put a _ instead of a space if not it will not show up in your music list in blockland so for example "The_duck_song" instead of "the duck song".After that put it in your music folder and your good to go.

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooo oo

This..is a big block of text, no one will want/bother to read through all of it.
Use the enter key to indent, and format your layout to something more appealing, Please..

I use WavePad and Audacity to make music. That's good enough for me.

Um that is not the best way to make music.....

You really don't need to be telling people that,
Your going to  confusing some one who does not know what you mean
+ What is the Music For...

but i fixed it and indented every paragraph

It's still blocks of text :/ You could try formatting it a little better.

I really hope David819 is a member of staff, because I don't really trust advice that involves going to other sites from random users. (I say this, of course, at the risk of being offensive.)

I can assure you those sites are fine since I use them. Getting Audacity is great, I have it and use it all the time. "Listen to Youtube" has a trifle of popups though.

The format is easier to take now, although it could be done better.
Not a bad tutorial.
