These things were developed at the University of Pennsylvania, and they fly.
By themselves. No human being is operating them, and there is some programming involved, though. Other than that, completely autonomous. I think it is pretty revolutionary, as it can automatically sense when to fly through the falling hoops, as seen in this video.

But, they simulate a malfunction, and the other three quadrocoptors will recover, and ignore the malfunction of the leader. (Will find the video)
