It's my birthday in about a week and I was thinking of getting Gmod. I might be able to get Gmod as well as The Orange Box, since I heard you need a source game or something to play Gmod. Whatever a source game is. Anyway, will my computer be able to run Gmod even if I have to lower the settings?

I don't know much, but my guess is yes.
I could run a few games with only about 2.00 GB of RAM, but what is your graphic card?

What is with you commenting on hardware ability so much when you clearly don't know ANYTHING.

2GB is more than enough to run like 90% of games.
