So, if I want to do anything online, like checking mail or other things on the internet, I have to use my parent's computer, because I don't have internet on my computer in my bedroom because my parents don't trust me. I respect that, as I am only 11. Thing is, I have things like Steam on there, and if I want to play a game from Steam, then I have to use their computer. When I was playing games yesterday, my dad game in at least 5 or more times, and I asked if he wanted to go on. He said no, but I think he's trying to be nice, and just go back to whatever he was doing. So, that's hard on him. On the other hand, if I'm on there, and my mom wants to use it, then she asks nicely for me to get off. Some times, she just tells me to get off, but she doesn't go on. I don't understand why, other than she doesn't want me on there. If I ask her, she just says I don't need to be on there. The later only happens if I don't ask. If I ask, she only lets me go on to check mail. If I want to say, get a update for a game, then she gets a bit upset, but there's a 50/50 chance she'll let me go on.
If they're gone, then I just go on. I get off as soon as they are home if I'm still on. I think it's fair because I can go do something else.
Anyway, I should tell you why I'm mad.
Now, my dad says I download too much crap. I might do that, but he has 30GB+ of unused things on his computer. Anything I download goes onto my computer via a USB stick. I don't see why he gets mad. It doesn't cost anymore to download. With him, he has 1-3 torrents downloading at a time. That slows the wireless and even the main computer that which the router is based from greatly. My downloads are from 5mb to 1gb, and that's maybe once every week or so. Only about 2 out of 5 of my downloads are torrents, but I don't download torrents very much. Anyway, I asked to go on today, about 15 minutes ago, and he said "Why? To download more crap?" I wasn't. I was going to check mail. I didn't say anything, because I didn't want to get yelled at. So, I went back to my room and just waited for a bit. I came back, and I went on to check mail. I didn't ask, but my mom was in her bedroom, and I didn't want to bother her. So, as I was signing on to GMail, he came in and he got mad and he yelled at me because I'm not supposed to be downloading crap. I told him I wasn't, but he didn't say anything. I just left and went to talk to my mom. I told her what happened, and she took my father's side and said I don't need to be downloading. I told her I wasn't, and told her that he downloads more "crap" than I do. She said that she knew. Before I left, I asked if I could go on later but she said I couldn't go on for the rest of the day. I asked her why and all she said was, "Because I said so."
Well, that sucks.
I'm also typing this from my Wii and a USB Keyboard, I know, you're like "Well, can't he check his mail and do other things on there?" I can, but using the Wii to browse the internet is very tedious, so I only use it if I can't use my parent's computer.
I just needed to get this off of my chest. I know, it's a very pathetic thing to be ranting about, expecially on a forum of a block building game with the majority of users being teenagers.
