Can Minecraft still be voted for GOTY even though it is that indie stuff?
Just curious.

Nope because it gets to have the title of being fueled by Mountain Dew!

Minecraft is a bland overrated game, it doesn't deserve GOTY over a loving gold mine of a game like Skyrim.

If it did I'd be ready to stab myself in the chest with a bayonet.

It's amazing that you've already managed to determine this considering the amount of Skyrim you've actually played.

Blockland: GOTY

It just needs a bigger developer team, put on steam and more publicity.

I have both Morrowind and Oblivion, they are on the top of my favourite games list and Bethesda has never failed to disappoint me, and I trust that they won't.

I also have Minecraft. Purchased it in alpha and I am more impressed by Ace of Spades than Notch's wide spreading game. The game has no hook that keeps me interested.

Nothanks

I have to agree. It has incredibly fun because of the concept, but only for about a month for me. Now I only find Multiplayer fun. :c

The last thing Blockland needs is publicity. I don't want these forums going down the path of some popular game forums, because most of them went tot stuff.

I have both Morrowind and Oblivion (which I bought twice actually), and they're both among my favorite games, and I bought a new computer mainly so I could run Skyrim when it came out and I'll probably preorder it as well even though I'm not going to be able to play it until I get out of school for winter break, but you still won't find me very sympathetic to the "I already know it's better without playing it" argument, no matter what ridiculous excuse you come up with to rationalize it by.

I think Badspot will disagree with you.

I never said I know it's better, I'm saying I trust Bethesda will make it the best one yet.

I trust Bethesda enough to know that it will have a stuffload of bugs.

It's also already sold more copies than both games combined.
People are buying an incomplete game, a beta I guess. The full game isn't out yet.

Actually to get Minecraft beta you must pre-order the game itself. That's why it has so many pre orders.

That is smart marketing.

Not to mention that people are going to judge a game by the graphics, and Minecraft doesn't have the best graphics.
