Irrelevant. Summercigarette is not a /b/ exclusive term anymore, so saying "I didn't know I was on /b/" just because someone mentioned summercigarettes makes just as much sense as looking at someone's living room, noticing a Sony TV and saying "I didn't know I was in Japan".

If you had made a better point the first time, you wouldn't have needed to clear it up. Which you still didn't do. Instead you tried to change what you said, from "this term originated on /b/ so it's bad" to "this term is disrespectful and people on /b/ are disrespectful so by using this term we are become /b/". You hadn't even mentioned anything about it being derogatory and unwelcoming until you tried to go back and change what you said, you just said that it came from /b/.

I assumed everyone realized the general mood in /b/, which isn't particularly nice.

So this is going to be my second summer on these forums. During the summer of 2010 we were visited by a summercigarette. Anyone remember Kurosama? Yeah, that was an example of a summercigarette. What I would like to know is if that was the only time these forums experienced summerfriendry, or if it's a continuing trend. I hope it isn't.
