You're implying the Engineer is a weak fighter.
The pistol can do like 10-15 damage, with 12 bullets. Point blank without missing a single shot
Then again that's with perfect accuracy, so lets say 2 clips per kill. Without the other person reacting, yes it's that easy

The shotgun is a good weapon, too bad the engineer's hp doesn't support head on fights, you guys are over estimating the power of a combat engineer.

Not really, I play combat Engi fairly often. Drop a mini Sentry on offense, then go shoot people.

I don't get a VERY good K/D, but that's partially because I'm pretty bad at the game, so you wouldn't be impressed. I mean, I get a fine one for me, but as I said, I'm not that great, so it's not real high.

Besides which, in TF2, K/D is pretty much irrelevant.

I like the shotgun but using it as a primary is quite difficult when faced with things that do much more damage.

Just because a Scout is fast doesn't mean he can close the distance to use his power and not get shot at.

Look, I like the shotgun, but if you decide to go offensive engineer without a sentry to back you up, really the most you will be is support, there will be no head on, the reason being is, you will die, you will indeed get kills on enemies when distracted, but that's hardly worth anything as ANY class could do it.

To make things simple, there are very few cases in which you could say as another class "Damn, I wish I had been an engie just then" while going offensives without sentries.

I fully agree, but you can't name very many situations in which an engie that uses his shotgun/pistol alone is more helpful than another class.

I have no use for crates.
I have a bunch, and I honestly don't do anything with them most of the time.
I'm convinced they are worth alot more than crates aswell.
