I idled all day (seriously, for like 6 loving hours) so I "missed" (still got some fighting action but otherwise I just waited and helped people with earning achievements) the birthday too.

Also does anyone know if the party hat and noisemakers are permanent?
I'm almost positive they are.

TF2: Balanced weapons.
VALVe: Lat- Wait, no we wont. <3

you'll keep them permanently but the noisemaker is only for today
party hat might be too.

The TF2 drop limit resets every Thursday at midnight GMT. This translates to 7:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday.

The Party Hat has no use restrictions, and is wearable from this point forward. The noisemaker only works yearly on TF's birthday.

Can I have one of those Machinas? :o

I'd give you one but I'm F2P and can only recieve items.
Though I think F2P can trade items for games with the Steam Beta Trading, if you have a game you're tired of and if you really want one of my Machinas we might be able to do that.

And if you do give me a game I'd also throw in something else because I think (too lazy to look up) you can trade more than one item/game in Steam Beta Trading.

if you have a game you're tired of

You can't trade games you've purchased for yourself, i.e. ones you've already played.

oh.

Well who on earth would buy a game and keep it for a while?!

The point is people buy games, then select the "Purchase as Gift" option and store it in their Inventory for the sole purpose of trading

If you could trade games you've already played that creates money issues for Steam. You could buy your game, play until you get bored, and trade it to someone else, robbing Steam of the cost the person you're trading to would have to pay to play that game. It's all business.

Nothing special.
yeah, nothing really spectacular.
the first guy would've been easy to just stab-and-sap

I was disappointed the second I saw you wearing a Gibus.

I think if Steam has enough money to make TF2 free and the full version a dollar minimum away, I think they'd have enough money to do that too.
Also people will still buy their games, some people might want to have their own copy and not give it away or none of their friends have it and can trade it away this making them have to buy it.
And they've got copies of their games in the store which I don't think are tradable.
It's dumb business if you ask me.
