the amputator is basically the default bonesaw only the taunt is different
why the forget wouldn't you use the crossbow with it

Because it's a stuffpile.

And, the taunt heals the surrounding allies.
I'll get a bunch of guys surrounding me and just taunt like mad healing them all.

if i remember correctly the crossbow does around 50 damage

four hits and a soilder is dead
three hits and any other class but heavy is dead

you just need to be a good aim

you can't really average the damage if it varies on distance
it can do up to 80 on 2fort bridgex2

Be that as it may, Medics are usually up near the front lines. The Crossbow is really at a disadvantage.
