nice k:d ratio Dnitro :o

K:D is for cigarettees
not really
the more you die the more you aren't being a help to the team
when you're alive you're still helping by being either a distraction or wasting their ammo
or of course killing/assisting/doing some damage

I don't understand what you mean by less mobility though

Rocket jumping with only 3 rockets leaves you more vulnerable.

Rocket jumping with only 3 rockets leaves your more vulnerable.

And yet the entire point of the Liberty Lawnchair is to be in the air and airshot

According to the Wiki, it's got the same exact stats as the Rocket Launcher, including crits and mini-crits, so you basically have a Rocket Launcher with one less rocket loaded but a +15 health bonus for each target you hit

That one less rocket loaded is huge. In big fights such as the initial midfight, which can often win you the entire round when won, you won't be able to spam the enemy hard enough at the beginning and will lose out on being able to take a positional advantage. Although, it's true that less clip weapons basically have no downside during the middle period of a fight (this is why Liberty Launcher is banned), so they're not completely useless. In fact, if the Black Box was raised to 30-40 restored on hit, it would have a good chance of being banned. Not used more, just straight to being banned.

Also, if the enemy team is smart, they could easily dispose of a Medic+Soldier, heck, i don't even think a Medic+Soldier with Black Box could take down the enemy forces, if your Medic has an Ubercharge ready, that's a different story, but then again, most classes can shred through a varying amount of the enemy forces with an Ubercharge

What do you mean by this?

With one less rocket, you're not able to rocket jump as much. The fourth rocket in the clip is a very useful tool for engaging and disengaging when the soldier wants to. It's not like you can equip the Gunboats to make up for it either, as now you're losing a ton more damage than you initially were without the Rocket Launcher. The Gunboats themselves are viable (I used them all last season on roamer), but your ammo management is very delicate and is toppled over completely if you lose out on clip size.

I don't recall what point i was trying to make with that, i think it was just something i had on my mind that i thought would make sense to mention :(

Doesn't convince me that 25% smaller clip size is bad.

If I had to pick one point to convince people that it was bad, it would be the fact that you do not have that special tool that allows you to choose when to engage and disengage. What I mean is, being able to rocket jump to an enemy who is out of position can give your team a free kill. Alternatively, if you're out of position and get jumped, you can use a rocket to get away. You might think that you can still do such a thing with the Black Box, but only having two rockets to rely on for fights might not even guarentee you a kill on an overhealed scout.

But if you're a pro at the game, shouldn't you be able to take anyone down with 2 - 3 rockets? If you rocket jump well it's possible to reload in the air and still maybe get a rocket in before you land.

You have to remember your opponents wouldn't completely suck either and often be able to avoid full damage from a rocket, especially if they're scout. Plus, you'd have to be super close and therefore vulnerable to hit full damage anyway due to damage falloff.

But the main point is, what happens if you do kill that scout with the two rockets, and there's another person there? Don't say you wouldn't have gone in in the first place if it's 1v2, because often times they weren't there at the start but they saw you jump in and came to try to help their teammate. Jumping away with your free kill, which you normally could do if an enemy came to try to help, is out of the question because now you're out of ammo. You could try shotgunning them down for a second kill, but being able to get away clean is always better than trading one for one.

you know just because you're in combat doesn't mean you can't reload

rocket jump with one, reload while in the air, take the guy out with one or two rockets, with the last one either take the other guy down or jump out

simples

I can guarentee you if you have the time to reload while you're in the air while going for a free kill you did something wrong, such as jumping too high. And again, I'm just assuming your opponents won't suck either and have decent reaction time - you will be punished for going in with such a low clip before you're able to reload a rocket and jump away. The fact of the matter is if you don't want to trade one for one, you can't go in nearly as many situations as you could with an extra rocket.

I like both the stock RL and the Black Box for different situations.
