If I'm going totally stock, how do I become a better Demoman? I know 'practice' is rule one, but usually my kills ends up around equal to my deaths as Demoman.

I've seen good Demomen totally roll over my team - I want to know how to do that.

learn to airburst stickies (aka fire at an angle where the stickies could land but detonate them in faces of opponents)

pretty sure he means actual demoman, hun

if you're totally stock you want to try to stay behind cover a bit and i suppose bounce your grenade launcher pipe bombs off the walls and into the enemy's area. if that doesn't work, try going offensive and getting crits by hitting them right on.
although my advice will probably be completely disregarded because blockland

I've been working on sticky trapping and not getting very far with it, guess I need more practice.

Airbursting, I haven't gotten much further.

Guess I just need to sharpen what I've been doing.

learn clutch areas
place stickies
scout area with melee/primary out
when enemy is seen entering trap
detonate
if not
keep patrolling and nading all immediate threats

So basically use primary and secondary weapons to lock down key areas.

Clutch areas are basically areas that you need kept in lockdown or you're screwed.

Like, the area before the final cap on cp_gorge.

ok heres a better demoman tutorial
forget the pipe launcher unless you need to reload or out of stickies
then just spam stickies either at the floor or at people depending on their movement (if they are chasing you) right below you

in my opinion if you use pipes over stickies you're playing demoman wrong
unless you suck at stickies
