I like the sniper rifle, and the soldier set looks interesting, but the scout's weapons are horrid. Fifty percent fire vulnerability? Coupled with slower firing speed? Plus, the scattergun is absolutely terrible. A scout's job is to be mobile and jump around - there is no reason to penalize the scout for playing his class properly.

On top of that, the new SMG is sub par at best. Slower firing speed, and less ammunition? Snipers rarely get kills with the normal SMG.

I think in one of the updates guns were announced but the stats were completely different upon release.

you shouldn't be near fire as a scout anyway. pick off the pyros with the pistol.

I doubt the rifle will get a nerf. It rewards snipers who like their headshots. Personally, I enjoy the all-around usefulness of the stock rifle, and as tempting as it may be to swap to the new one I think I'll stay vanilla. Bodyshots are simply too important. I might give it a run, though.
