Oh, wait, you were serious when you listed the Direct Hit and Black Box as good weapons? That's pretty laughable.

Most of the other stuff is worthless save for the whip and the equalizer. Stock shotgun and launcher are superior to anything else available.

obviously not as good for comp but in pubs they are both amazing weapons (assuming you can aim the direct hit)

People call them nooby weapons because they get mad that people keep killing them with it.So whenever someone tells someone its a nooby weapon they get discouraged from using it because they think it will make them a noob.

Well, because winning with a crutch doesn't actually help you, as a player, advance. If the only way you can play demoman, for instance, is by relying on one hit kills with the loch-n-load and getting instacrits with the targe, you won't be a big help to your team when, say, they need stickies, or pipes.
