Here's my idea for a Demoman set based on Grenade Jumping.

Boots (Sticky Bomb slot)
Bomber's Stompers
Level 0 Boots

Detonates own grenades on contact
-40% Self damage on grenade jump
+25 HP

Overheal builds and falls 40% slower

This weapon would encourage mobility, being able to pull off Grenade jumps with ease and encouraging assault and ambush play in spite of a missing Sticky Launcher. The increased Overheal retention would make buddying up with a Medic better for either a quick jump or a prolonged firefights, giving an assault edge.

Melee
Bomber's Baton
Level 0 Bludgeon
On Equip:
Damage taken will be Mini-Crits
Damage dealt during explosive jump will be crits
Minicrits dealt for 1 second after landing

-70% non crit/minicrit damage

This weapon encourages ambush from above! Although it's risky, a successful smack on the head of a choice target could prove immensely satisfying.

The demo gets minicritted all the time? Would not really use imo.

Only when the Baton is out. Otherwise, normal damage is taken.

What you've designed is just a Demo version of the Market Gardener/Gunboats Soldier except you take mini-crits with your melee out and do piss-poor damage when it's not a jump kill

If you want to shoot the ground to fly and get jump crits why not just play Soldier

how about a shockwave or something on landing to disorient those at the landing site

The De-Entrenching Tool
Level 34 Rocket Launcher
On building Hit: Nearby players and buildings take damage.
Shots will temporarily disable the Wrangler shield.

-20% damage against players
-25% fire rate



basically it's designed for taking down nests

Alt-Fire: Provides an offensive buff that causes nearby
team members to do 15% extra damage.

-66% clip size
-30% damage


Rally Radio
Level 20 Battle Banner
Provides a defensive buff that removes negative status
effects and blocks 15% of incoming damage.
