EVE Online - fly cool spaceships and whatnot

Went on a PVP roam today with my corpmate, we were bored so we took out some T2 fit cruisers and went looking for trouble.
We came to a system and split up to find anyone in it, there were 8 other people not counting us in local. I went to planet 1, corpmate went to the sun.
As I warped in to planet 1, a guy in a Zealot warped in too. He immediately locked me and started shooting. Being the newbie I am to PVP I hesitated before making my decision. Before he got in scrambler range I activated my MWD and aligned to the sun, right after that a Falcon and a Punisher warped to the Zealot. Lucky for me they couldn't catch me in time and I warped away to the sun with half my armor left to regroup with my corpmate. Little did I know (my fault for not paying attention when he told me, I was excited :c) he was fighting 2 other guys there. Seconds after I arrived at the sun the 3 guys that were after me warped in.
I immediately warped to a station and docked, but my corpmate was already scrammed by the guys he was fighting. He died, the punisher died, and the 2 guys my corpmate were fighting died. I feel bad for surviving :(

Just got wardecced about an hour ago. Someone saw the corp leader in a hulk and thinks we're a mining corp.

That's the tankiest cruiser ever. Good tactic would be to have you as bait and get your more damagey ships to do the dps.

Considering fitting my apoc with autocannons.
Can't find enough info to support this decision, not sure if I should do it.

If you have better projectile skills. Sure the apoc doesnt get a damage bonus but lasers are decent.

Did it earlier. Never got to actually try it out yet but I got a significant DPS increase, and my laser skills are better then my projectile skills.
I've got forgetloads of cap to work with now. Dropped the cap rigs I had and fitted damage rigs and midslots are cleared up to allow for tracking computers or other more useful modules.
Only downside is I lost quite a bit of range.
