PIKMIN IS COMING TO WII U.

A Pikmin game has long been in development for the Wii. Well, it's not anymore, as Nintendo has announced that the game is instead going to be released on the Wii U.

The original plan was to release the Wii game this year, for the series' tenth anniversary, but once Miyamoto saw the new system's HD graphics and controller, his mind was made up.

"I think that's the perfect system for Pikmin. So we're going to make it for that", he said earlier today at a Nintendo Q&A session.

Miyamoto adds that, because the Wii version was so far along, the release of the game on the Wii U "shouldn't be a long wait".

I am cautiously optimistic about the Wii U because it could be amazing.  Honestly, it could be the best console.  But they could also horribly, horribly forget it up.

I got my Wii as a gift for getting rewards in school a lot years ago. We actually sat outside of K-Mart in pouring rain, to the point of flood warnings, to get one of two they got in.

AKA, I'm too attached to my Wii to afford a Wii U.

As for Pikmin, the second one sucked. Hell, they both gave me this creepy odd feeling of loneliness with unpredictable creatures you command at the whim you think you have over them. But at least the first one had a true purpose. The idea of "You need to get stuff to sell." was simply handicapped...

It's a new console. The Wii isn't involved. The controller is equivalent to the touch screen on the DS, AKA they are dependent. God damn it, this is going to loving haunt us for months, isn't it? Stupidest trailer ever.
