is it my router or ISP thats blocking the connections? portforward says it cant connect

I wanted to mine blocks using a poorly-scripted physics enabled pickaxe.

For anyone who has no idea what they are doing, like I was.

This article helped me.

GUI miner gives me this error on start up:

Funny thing is I got it to start up once, then after that it won't even start up.

Eh, I just downloaded an older version of the client and that started up.

Anyone that is interested for mining in a team:

It's better off to mine in a team than rather having 1 worker. We will be using slush's pool mostly.

I currently only have myself, because Rings's laptop overheats badly when he tried to mine.

I am looking for people who have a Megahash rate over than 50.

PM me with your model and Megahash rate and we can discuss terms of payment.

How do I find this information out?

I try to mine with the gui miner and it gets stuck on "connecting..." when I click the start button.
The console says this:
Code: [Select]
2011-06-10 18:10:50: Running command: poclbm.exe --user=DrenDran --pass=[PASS TAKEN OUT] -o mining.bitcoin.cz -p 8332 -d0 --verbose
2011-06-10 18:10:50: Listener for "Default" started
What's that mean?

Your default profile started up. Also, what graphics card are you using?

So how do I make it actually mine then?

Is this good enough?
If not, someone spare me some coins so I can sell them and use them to upgrade.
