How do I know if it logged me in correctly? Would I get a message if it didn't log me in?

I skipped the first few pages, so I have no idea if this has been answered or not, but are you gaining more money in bitcoins then you are spending in electricity to do the processing?

Additionally, other then power usage, why use a video card? I have an nVidia GPU, which is apparently bad for this. However, I have an i7 920, which I was pretty sure ran efficiently. So why the GPU?
