Additionally, other then power usage, why use a video card? I have an nVidia GPU, which is apparently bad for this. However, I have an i7 920, which I was pretty sure ran efficiently. So why the GPU?

Because using a GPU takes up less power than using a CPU, which means you make more money than the increase in your electric bill.

In retrospect, it's really not worth it unless you want to confront your mom on why the electric bill is so high.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my i7 uses less power over my GPU on a full load. I've never seen my CPU above 15% either.

CPUs do take more electricity, but we're not deducting quality based on electricity, yet rather the mhash/s rate.

i would try it out i just need to ensure i have a decent fan, and i pull my computer away from the wall so it ventilates. i also need to just dl the stuff. i hope not everyone starts doing this or i bet the worth will go down by far.

I made a worker and everything for my account, my 'username' is DrenDran.main now.
I guess I'll wait for Tom.
