How do I make money? Just sell stuff? And how does Mining work?

Just made my first transfer to my account.
One hundreth of a bitcoin from my pool account to my actual wallet, just wating for the transfur to be confirmed.
 :cookieMonster:

How do you find out the ghash or mhash or whatever it is?

Okay, I'm using RPCMiner and using BTC Guild, but what's the port number to connect to? I can't find it anywhere and it won't work without it...

stuff, double post, my apologies. Anyway, got the port number, now I'm just mining...with BTCGuild...should be interesting.

My khash it says is ranging between 600 and 700...if that means anything.

*While doing this my CPU A has reached over 209 degrees Fahrenheit. What the stuff.

Don't mine with your cpu.
Use your gpu.

My GPU is total stuff.

I just made an account on the bitcoin forums.

Someone tried to sell 140,000 bitcoins at once yesterday which caused the the bottom of the market to almost fall out and actually crashed the bitcoin network for awhile. The crash is the only thing that kept the bottom from falling since no one was able to sell or buy.

Also I've said it like 20 damn times already. DO NOT BOTHER MINING WITH A CPU. YOU WILL WASTE MORE MONEY IN ELECTRICITY COSTS THAN YOU GET BACK IN BITCOINS.

What is this Bitcoin, explain in English, please.

This has been asked too many times.

I have a worker account set up if anyone wants it.

Can't anyone make any amount of those for free?

Yes but the more workers you have the more you contribute, meaning more shares of coin.

So far I have 0.03 bitcoin in my wallet and an estimate of 0.08 awaiting sending. That's about 0.11 bitcoin total... I think it might be easier to buy bitcoin then sell it when the price goes up.

So basically, I download a client, which starts toasting my computer, and I get digital money for it?
