Author Topic: I Give Up, Switching to Chrome  (Read 1661 times)

After Firefox 4, firefox would randomly freeze the entire computer to the point of no return at random times.  I can never seen when it'll come, it just happens.  And all I can do to unfreeze it is to do a hard/forced shutdown (holding power button for about 5 seconds.)  And starting over what I was doing.  I swear, ever since Firefox 4 everything's been down hill.

You could always go back to Firefox 3.

And the addons will still be made for 4.

I stopped using Firefox after 2.  Too much of a RAM whore.

Firefox 4 works for me. I probably have the lowest RAM here too.

2 windows, 4 tabs, 1 download, 20 addons, 284,900 K

For my old laptop, that's way too much.

Aand? Firefox isn't magically going to use 300mb ram when your laptop doesn't have that much free.

Chrome is light, fast, and awesome.

I'm using it right now. :D

Chrome is low-quality. No optional toolbars, just a address bar, tab feature, and some file, edit, view stuff.

It's called minimalistic and it's not a cluster forget of toolbars like other browsers.
Plus it's the fastest one I've seen.

/agree

i've used chrome before, it's slow as forget, and I couldn't use ANY toolbars.

on firefox 4 toolbars are optional and it's faster.

IMO

I gave up on Firefox weeks ago lol. Using Chrome now :3

Personally I love firefox, just so damn customizable.
And with a 6 core processor, it works with me at 1% cpu usage most of the time. :)
