No reasons, brah. Back up your opinion.

Air force gets the best benefits, with the least chance of dying.  Marines are loving awesome, their hands are legal weapons.

U.S. navy all the way.

Good ol' gramps' served in World War 2.

Got himself a silver star, he did.
Great uncle did too, as a tank commander.
Saw some horrible things.
Last battle was fought maybe 10 miles from berlin.

My great uncle was in a unit called "Frogmen".

He would go in a small boat, and dive and plant explosives on german U-Boats

That sounds badass.

You can die suddenly at any time in the army or marines when out on the battlefield, so that's something to think about.

Airforce

I feel weird how much I've talked about the airforce today.

Every branch is jelly of airforce B)

It doesn't matter what branch you join you'll end up getting deployed, no matter what they tell you. But the marines kicked my brother-in-laws ass. And jarhead is a really loving awesome movie. Oorah

Holy stuff. Bones, me too. I'm joining after my 4 years of college are done though. Still debating on weather joining the Army as an Apache gunner or the Air Force as an A-10 pilot. I have 20-20 vision and perfect depth perception and crap so I should be set.

don't join the army and fight an unwinnable war. join the coast guard and fly around in a helicopter saving people while blasting lout metallica music. those rescued swimmers will be rocking out.

My dad was in the Navy.
He said he had to scoop up the dead bodies of woman, babies, and children, that is, when he wasn't being stabbed and shot at.
._.
I would much rather be shot or stabbed then scoop up dead bodies. :c

On Topic: You should consider how you might be like after you are out of the Military. Most people come out with PDSD (atleast, that's what I've heard), probably something you don't want to deal with with nor your family. You also might fall to the habit of smoking, heavy drinking, or aggressive behavior... something else you might want to consider. If you think that you and your family will be able to cope with it, I think you should go for it. It's a great opportunity, though I have no plans of joining myself.

you have to get rid of the people you killed, you have to get rid of the stabbers and shooters somehow. why not use dead bodies of children and women as weapons against them?
