My cousin is becoming a pilot too. He recently graduated from the USAFA (which im close to) He told me about the academy and if you have a 4.0 or above, you can try and join it.

Join the Coast Guard.

Unfortunitly they barely use A-10 anymore.
Resort to F-22 Strike Raptors.

um what

Yeah they do, they're using them a lot in Afghanistan and Libya. And F-22 strike raptors? No. There's only like 168 F-22s built, and they're mostly used for air superiority. Also, I don't think there's a ground attack version of the F-22. That would be the F-15 strike eagle.

My brother went to Iraq twice (he's in the National Guard). He said all he did was escort supplies to and from bases in a Humvee. The majority of his time was spent playing video games and going to the Taco Bell that was on base.

You aren't being constantly shot at these days. The worst he experienced was an I.E.D. a bombing at the local police station, and almost crashing into a gorge. However, that was only because they were considerate of the local populace.

Yeah I heard half of all members of the military never see real combat in their time there.

I really dream of being an Air Force pilot, flying really fast, being in the sky. It's just the fighting part that stops me. Whenever I think of joining the air force, I think about me getting shot down and dying and stuff :c.

Only officers are pilots, at least, that's how it's traditionally been.

Join the Coast Guard. :D

If I were to join the military, I'd want to become a medic.  :D

FB-22 Strike Raptor is for close ground support.  Except they use it for bombing. :C

Ah, haven't heard of it. But still, they need something a little slower and more accurate. That's where the A-10 comes in.

army and marines are for camping cigarettes.

navy and airforce are like vacations.
