um whatYeah they do, they're using them a lot in Afghanistan and Libya. And F-22 strike raptors? No. There's only like 168 F-22s built, and they're mostly used for air superiority. Also, I don't think there's a ground attack version of the F-22. That would be the F-15 strike eagle.
My brother went to Iraq twice (he's in the National Guard). He said all he did was escort supplies to and from bases in a Humvee. The majority of his time was spent playing video games and going to the Taco Bell that was on base. You aren't being constantly shot at these days. The worst he experienced was an I.E.D. a bombing at the local police station, and almost crashing into a gorge. However, that was only because they were considerate of the local populace.

FB-22 Strike Raptor is for close ground support. Except they use it for bombing. :C
