while this is true, the event to which I am referring is this- if you have a level 70+ character, you can make a level 50 DB, aran, or evan on the same world

Select from Dual Blades, Evan and Aran to start your next adventure, but choose carefully! You will only be able to create one Jumpstart Character per account.

woah woah hold up. they're giving free characters slots for this. I'm definitely making a new character just for the slot.

I've obtained 5 free slots so far, this will be my 6th :D .. bringing my account up to 9 slots.
