Author Topic: I screwed up my sleep pattern.  (Read 2357 times)



Usually after a night out it gets fixed. I'm up at 7:30am today.. and bed at 2:50am last night.

Sometimes, mostly being at unaware times, I will suddenly get "nocturnal sleeping habits" in which I stay up all night not being tired, and usually begin to become extremely, and abnormally tired by morning or in the afternoon. I'll usually sleep until 7:00 PM, or even 1:00 AM, and I'm usually confused out of my mind when that happens.

What I do is I try to reverse it, by staying up all day, and sleeping at 4:00 PM, or later, then waking up in the morning the next day. Soon enough it automatically re-corrects itself to a "humane" pattern.

Not a humane pattern. A socially forced pattern of 6AM - 9PM awake and 9PM - 6Am sleep. A natural human pattern would more like 8AM - 9PM awake and 9PM - 8AM sleep with an hour or two awake between 12PM - 6AM. Random shaky tidbits of memory from somewhere.

You want to know how to fix this? Pull an all-nighter and then go to sleep at 9:00 PM and your sleep pattern will be fixed.

Stay up all night and then get a full nights rest the next day. :O

For me it's:

Go to sleep at 5AM

Wake up at 4PM.

Tried that. Got bored. Fell asleep. :c

Melatonin tablets/pills. Works wonders.

My usual sleep pattern is
Go to sleep at 4am
Wake up at 6am
find some way to keep self awake during day
3/7 days of week I'm just up all night, and I never actually need as much sleep as anyone else I know, for some wierd reason.


I go to bed at around 11pm and wake up at 7-9pm


My dad makes me go to bed even though I'm not really tired :c
