Author Topic: They're legalizing mariuana?  (Read 46592 times)

If you smoke it daily, you will get addicted but this is true for most things.

This isn't even true either

It entirely depends on the person and their self control

I know plenty of people with the money to smoke it every day, yet when they do have to stop for a long time (maybe they need a job, which one of my friends did), he quit and didn't even give a stuff.

You're dumb as hell. Why would a dealer lace a fairly cheap drug with more expensive drugs? What is the logic there?

I've gotten plenty of weed laced with crack, you dip. It's not rare by any means. Depends on what/how much it's laced with. Some might just offer a different high if it's laced combined with weed high, other might actually get you addicted.

Just ask yourself: Do you want to inhale chemicals to give yourself temporary happiness that leaves no satisfaction at all later?

I sure do. The "leaving no satisfaction at all later" statement you made is incredibly stupid and by all means false, just coming out of your ass. Bad things can happen after. Good things can happen after. Nothing can happen later. It's really not a big deal after you're high is over at all.

I, personally, smoke weed socially or at a sleep over or something. Have you ever played video games while high? There's a reason people on video games have usernames, icons, etc. etc. relating to marijuana. It's incredibly fun (as is anything else high hur dur)

If you get high at a sleep over or something, play games, listen to music, then go to bed, nothing bad will probably happen. I've been doing this for a year now with no failures/people finding out.

The above 2 sentences are my opinion however, directed towards the thread, and not at you.

Get them more addicted?

I never really see the logic in inhaling partially carcinogenic chemicals to get short bursts of pleasure that leave no satisfaction later. It doesn't make you feel good about yourself; it's pretty much buying temporary happiness.

Wait, am I really against Marijuana? That must mean I'm a government zombie that doesn't like to stick up for basic rights, like the freedom of messing up your life with drugs.

Every sit and think that some people don't live in a crack house, walk down the street, purchase marijuana, and go home to smoke it and be happy just because their life sucks? No? Of course you haven't.

There are people who smoke it and do something exciting afterwards, just to feel what it's like high. People do it with friends socially and have great fun. If it wasn't fun, people who smoke it wouldn't smoke it...

Why would it make you feel good about yourself? It's illegal to smoke it recrationally in the USA; people wouldn't exactly say "I'm proud of myself because I smoke something illegal. If it was legal, this wouldn't even matter.

That "short burst" of "temporary happiness" is typically 3-6 hours depending on the type you get. You surely cannot say 6 hours out of a 24 hour day is NOT a lot. It is.

and more like "temporary fun", but lots of things are "temporary fun".

You're only looking at it from the generalized bullstuff point of view where low-life scum take it to be happy and stuff. Please, get your head out of your ass and look at all possibilities, then you'd realize nothing is wrong with us, we are human beings just like you, we are not all the same, and we don't all fit the stupid stereotypes.

I don't know why Alcohol is legal pretty much everywhere but marijuana is illegal.

I'm pretty sure alcohol does more damage to you than marijuana does.

Indeed

I'm sure it would be just as bad if people drove under the influence of marijuana however

Then again, i'm not sure how many people would actually smoke weed if it was legalized for recrational use. I'd assume not THAT many, considering lots of people are against it now, and they probably still will be.

But maybe they might start because it being legalized would tell them "Oh hey, it's okay to use because it's legal, and only bad things are illegal"

meh

we wait and find out

I think that Alcohol is too widely sold/bought. The government tried to ban alcohol , but we all know how that turned out. I'm pretty sure if they did it again, people would riot.

-snip-
What good comes after being high? The occasional bad side effect and wanting more. That doesn't sound worthwhile

The people who have drug-related avatars and names are just trying to be edgy, because the government banning something horrible is a total violation of our rights.

Why would someone happy need to spend money to risk their health to get fake happiness? It's only necessary for sadsacks and the uneducated.

Not really.

Narkro, why shouldn't we legalize weed? You bitch a lot about stoners, but you haven't said any of your opinions yet.

I actually support the legalization of recreational Marijuana, as long as it is regulated and distributed wisely. It's similar to Tobacco; I support legalization, but with tight laws and distribution.

Not really.
Beer is nothing though. I think he means "alcohol" as in liquors. Those are worse than marijuana.

You are so loving stupid, like holy stuff you are loving handicapped

What am I so holy stuff loving handicapped about? That states some legit facts that beer can actually be good for you.

EDIT

Thanks for clarification.

I thought he was talking about alcoholic beverages in general, not just liquor. Beer and Wine can actually be good for you.

Yeah wine can, not sure about beer though.

Re-read the link I posted earlier.

Marijuana is a huge industry that if legalized will stimulate the economy, create jobs and a new market. Its not bad for you unless smoked ridiculously often. Its not addictive at all, unless you smoke joints mixed with tabacco, like joker card said, if you stop smoking suddenly after smoking routinely for several weeks, you'll feel withdrawals, but you cant be addicted to weed.

Being high is fun. Most people dont smoke often, but it makes for a good time with friends. Where is the harm in it? If its not too bad for you, and you're not endangering/hurting anyone by smoking, what is the problem? Its like someone's decision to go out and have a few beers with friends after work.

I promise you im not a sad sack, I lead a rewarding and productive life, and I would like to think im pretty darn educated after achieving a 4.1 in high-school and making the top ten percentile of my graduating class, yet I smoke occasionally.

Im assuming you've never tried marijuana, so you shouldn't put it down so quickly.

It's still addictive to a certain degree, depending on the person. Like you said, there can be withdrawal symptoms. However, using it in moderation is better then nothing, so if you really have to smoke for some reason, at least be smart about it. See: tobacco.

I agree with legalization, as long as the flow of the product's distribution is regulated and controlled.
