The slow works with the AoE but you only get 15% instead of the full 35%, and the knockback only leaves them slowed for about half a second.

Half a second is a long time in this game.
15% AoE slow is good.

Uhh,, Malzahar is a mage, AP nuker.
He can't really carry.
If you want to carry get LeBlanc or Swain.
Malzahar is kind of an assassin.

I never complain about KS because I'm usually the tank.
I'd just rather have my team's carries get the kills so they get more gold so they can do more damage.

Sure tanks should be doing damage when they can. But they shouldn't be trying to carry.
Tanks get enough gold from assists and 5 gp10 items.

This is why you go for the objectives in an objective based game. Their team's fiddle was talking stuff to us the whole time about how we're noobs, and look who's butthurt in the end?

I'm the fiddle at the top of my team. I did that build at the last second knowing I'd need to do massive damage if we wanted to keep the points and win. I had 603 AP with that..

Wasn't talking about just your case.

There's many games I've played where a tank or support would deliberately take many kills from carries and then the game goes downhill from there.

I've seen a lot of dominion and classic games turn around just near the brink of defeat. I think that's the closest dominion game I've ever seen.

I've had a classic game where both teams had no inhibitors. We won because they had no nexus turrets.

No kidding. Best AP is Deathcap + 5 AA staves.
But that would be a really dumb idea because you should also worry about movement speed, cooldowns, and spellvamp.

I had guardian angel/soul shroud, we were losing so bad I needed massive amounts of AP to nuke them. I sold my armor and stacked AP .. and guess what, it worked!

yes I'm aware it wasn't the best choice but when your nexus has 9 health left you don't contemplate "hmm what would be the best way to go here.." you click buttons really fast and buy things. those things happened to be rabadons.
