Author Topic: League of Legends - "The Enemies Inhibitor is respawning soon!"  (Read 195937 times)

It's pretty hard to reliably pick up kills because you only have one burst ability that really does any decent damage. Since you're going to be getting a ton of assists, CDR becomes even more critical; during his ultimate, an assist reduces his alpha strike cooldown by 5 seconds to 5... or by 5 seconds to 1, if you have max CDR. Frankly I'm amazed everyone doesn't get max CDR on every Yi build ever, the way it converts assists during ultimate to basically a complete CD refresh. Yi players tend to be immaturely obsessed with KS and stuff like that though so I guess they never considered it; they take allies not getting kills for granted.

edit: lol my first game after this post I teamed with a Yi who got pissed off at someone for a KS - no active ult, no occult, just greed.

Watching some HotshotGG games for some reason. After playing solo top nocturne today and doing decently I thought i'd check out his way of playing. Why in god's name does he build so many gold items. And no damage. And lots of health/armor. It seems like he does this for all of his ad champions.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94VUrJsTnIo&feature=related < Game that i'm watching. He goes philo stone. Why?

Well I just launched it and immediately noticed he's trying to mid as noc against kennen, which is a gold-farming disaster. So a +gold would probably be pretty well-advised. Assuming he has to try holding the lane without being harassed out, he'll need to build tankier and give up on trying to get champ kills just to stay in there against ken. Why he even bothers midding noc is another question entirely and probably I assume related to the fact that he's streaming.

But I'm not gonna watch it so the real answer is lol idk  :cookieMonster:

Didn't watch it last time and not gonna watch it this time. See no special reason to wait through an ad to see it, especially since I have absolutely no context of what it's gonna be like or who did it or why it was made, including from the person who gave the link.

he wins by killing everyone with atmogs and red buff

also, all random all mid best custom game ever.

rules are:
everyone must be a random character (using the random mode in custom games)
everyone must go mid
you cannot recall, you can only go back if you're dead or if your inhibitor has gone down
you can never leave mid to do anything. you can't go through the sides to enter the jungle and get away

pretty fun with six or more people, even number that is. i randomed akali once and went 8/3 along with another friend randoming teemo, one of his strongest characters and getting 12/4

Yeah maybe I shoulda give you a different one. He builds all if his solo top champions like it.  But near the end he only has atmas as a damage item and manages to carry the whole game.

Edit: *Sigh* I always feel afraid to play jungler because i'm only level 23, Only use tier 2 runes and junglers really do often get blamed for everything. I think i've never had a good jungling experience.

It's IGN looking at the new Champion. Viktor.

I'm not a fantastic jungler, so take this with a grain of salt.

Having no runes just restricts your jungle experience to the best junglers. A lot more champions are viable as junglers since its recent patch, but if you just stick with the best ones, you're fine. The fact of the matter is that tricking out a super-awesome jungler summoner is going to have a bit of an opportunity cost when you get out of the jungle, since jungles are all about armor and sustain, and ganks are mostly about targeting AP champs and burst. I prefer to play my warwick, jarvan, and udyr as junglers, and I've been toying around with jungling as skarner. Other easy jungles are nocturne, fiddlesticks, and amumu.

Don't bother with Shaco if you're worried about your summoner setup; jungling with him is all about preparation and ritual. Another thing I saw recently was jungle shen, which is a huge mistake: he can jungle just as many camps as anyone else before he needs to go home, but they take 3 times as long to kill. Don't mistake "winning" the jungle with being a good jungler.

For simple autoattackers (ww, jarv, udyr, noc), the strat is easy: Cloth armor and 3 health potions, wolves, smite on wraiths, minigolems, back for a sword, repeat, back for a razor, and then you can go for blue, rake across the jungle, upgrade to wriggle's and then start on boots. Waiting that long to go for your buffs is a pain, but you can probably do it with no runes/masts at all, and you'll catch up to mid on XP quickly once you start exploiting the vs. minions proc and don't try to force any but the easiest ganks with your measly wriggles + basic boots. You should try to put in a gank or two starting around level 6 if (and only if) your champ can totally lock someone down with CC (e.g. warwick and jarvan) since you won't have any real damage yet. You might pick up some kills, or you might make them burn flash; either way if you have a strong gank ult you should put it to good use if it'll cool down anyway before you need it again. The main idea here is to farm boatloads of monsters in a hassle-free environment spamming the crap out of razor procs. By the time the lane phase ends, you'll be ready for serious team fights.

This will get you a ton of rage from a select few players who fancy themselves gods of the gank, and you'll just have to ignore them. Yes, junglers get blamed for everything. Even worse, IMO, is when your team essentially loses the game before you were ready to do anything. But as long as you make yourself available to cover lanes when someone needs to B and keep your eye out for really easy ganks, your team will usually manage to do at least as well as if you 2-manned top lane. If people blaming you for things that aren't your fault is a problem, you shouldn't be playing league of legends.

My general philosophy is to just get whatever character the team needs, and if that coincides roughly with strong jungling, and we don't have a jungler already, I'll go for that; otherwise, don't worry about it. Jungling is not nearly as mandatory in my experience as most pros make it out to be; Just this week I've 2v1d top and blown up the turret before 10 minutes. Twice. Both times my team took excellent advantage of that early XP and gold bonus. Most people only think the jungle is mandatory because they're not willing to take the risks necessary for a push/starve 2v1 to pay off, which is ironic since these people tend to gamble on killing opponents of equal rating.

edit: LOL @ viktor video, the guy in charge is so awful at... talking. I had to give up halfway through the second ability because I god tired of listening to him stutter and suddenly remember important things.

Plard stop adding my main, I don't know who you are and us playing together would be a matchmaking disaster. If you want to play, I accept all invites on my smurf, sparten666

edit: Just bought 50 bucks of riot points and got 8 champs with it - now I'm only missing 5 (incl. viktor). It's the first time I've spent money on it since the game launched and I got the two champion packs for 60, and frankly the game has brought me so much entertainment that it was way overdue.

I've spent like 200 on this game

It was worth it to be honest. I play so much and I want to support RIOT.

I usually buy my champs with RP. These tier 3 runes are hurting my IP wallet.

Awww yeah

My team were a pre-made of 4 and i was the random. They said they needed mid so i went fizz. 10 kills by 20 mins and 20 min surrender. We also won a 2v4 fight. They invited me to join them straight after ^^

agh those creepscores are hurting my eyes ,__, cant wait to get back from thailand and play again, also acid try ap tf is so op

Also thanks riot for 450rp xmas present<3

I don't complain much about stupid mids (e.g. fizz) anymore because generally that just means that the enemy is just as handicapped. A week ago I got a game with a master yi who immediately called mid. Yi can't mid at all because he has absolutely no range and the enemy will get minion-fed as stuff. So since master yi's only weakness preventing him from curbstomping mid is his completely lack of range, the enemy's team decides that their mid is... Renekton.

Mid Yi got fed and we stomped them. I died a little inside knowing that the yi probably thought this affirmed how awesome Yi is at mid.
